These submersible units offer excellent corrosion resistance. The unit is 1-1/2" in diameter, very durable and will not crack if accidentally dropped. The external temperature controller (included) has an operating range of approximately 55-90°F and includes a temperature sensor for submersible mounting. A built-in, temperature-sensing switch will automatically cut off power if the heater is exposed to air. The 500 Watt units have a 5' power cord, the 800 Watt units have a 7' cord. The controller is 115V 50/60 Hz, not UL-listed, 64" cord length. Six-month manufacturer warranty .
These great little units can be easily moved and used on quarantine or hospital tanks during spring and summer.
The controller for these units should not be exposed to weather. For outdoor use the controler should be placed in an area that protects it from rain or covered with an inexpensive rubbermaid container or ziplock bag.
